The information provided is accurate as of 3 February 2026.

Going abroad? Leave expensive roaming fees and the hassle of physical SIM cards behind. Revolut eSIM gives you quick access to data in 100+ countries, managed entirely in-app.

What's an eSIM?

An eSIM is the digital version of a physical SIM card. It lets you access mobile networks abroad without switching physical cards.

If your device supports eSIM, the technology is already built into to your phone. This means you don't have to worry about losing your home SIM while travelling, or finding a local SIM shop abroad.

With an eSIM, you can keep your home number active while using a secondary profile for apps and browsing online using data.

The benefits of Revolut eSIM data plans

  • Ease of use: see exactly what you're paying and how much data you've got left in real-time, all in the Revolut app
  • No roaming shock: avoid the high daily fees charged by mobile networks abroad
  • Flexibility: add more data in seconds if you run out
  • Speed: we partner with leading local networks in each country for the best 4G and 5G coverage

Things to keep in mind

  • Data-only: our data plans don't include a local phone number — if you need one and live in the UK or Poland, Revolut Mobile may fit your needs better. T&Cs apply.
  • Device compatibility: eSIMs only work on eSIM compatible devices
  • Set-up: you'll need Wi-Fi when you first install your eSIM

Revolut Mobile is provided by Gigs in the UK and 1GLOBAL in Poland. Revolut Ltd acts as agent on their behalf. Terms of Service and General Conditions of Sale apply.

How much does it cost?

Frequently asked questions

Can you make phone calls with a Revolut eSIM?

Our data-only eSIMs don't come with a phone number. However, you can still stay in touch with friends and family by making calls and sending messages through apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, and Zoom.

Living in the UK or Poland? Try Revolut Mobile, which works just like a traditional carrier service — complete with a phone number, roaming, and calling capabilities. T&Cs apply.

Are Revolut eSIMs safe?

Our eSIMs are managed through the Revolut app, which uses encryption and additional security checks to protect your information. Unlike a plastic SIM card, a digital eSIM can't be stolen or copied, giving you extra peace of mind.

Can you move an eSIM to another phone?

eSIMs are tied to the device where they were first installed. If you switch to a new phone, you'll need to buy and install a new plan on that device.
