When you’re on-the-go, and exploring new places, it’s smart to stay vigilant — especially when you have money in your pocket. Just like you might use an anti-theft backpack to protect your valuables, you can now add an extra layer of defence to your Revolut account. You already have 24/7 security: now you can enhance it with Street Mode.

Stay protected from the unexpected

Street Mode is a powerful new addition to our Wealth Protection feature. Once activated, it delays outgoing transfers over your chosen limit while you’re away from trusted locations to keep your Revolut account safe from potential fraudsters. Then it asks for extra confirmation to make sure you — and only you — are in control.

How does Street Mode work?

• Toggle on Wealth Protection. Open your Revolut app and tap the profile icon in the top-left corner. Go to Security, then Wealth Protection. Set your transaction limits. This enables biometric confirmation for outgoing transfers above a limit of your choosing.
• Set your safety net. Choose trusted locations like your home or work. With location security turned on, transfers above your limit in these places will need 1 selfie check, but won’t be delayed.
• Activate a delay that could save the day. We’ll delay transfers over your limit and outside trusted locations for 1 hour. After the hour, you’ll take a second selfie check to confirm the transaction, giving you time to react if something’s wrong.

Whether you're buying gifts, wandering markets, or heading overseas, your spending patterns shift and your exposure to fraud widens. Street Mode helps reduce that risk by adding a strong, customisable barrier between your money and those who may try to access it.

This new feature builds upon our Wealth Protection feature by adding location awareness and timed delays — giving you more control when it matters.
