Discounted Fees Offer for Paid Plans Terms
What is this Promotion about?
REVOLUT TECHNOLOGIES JAPAN, Inc. (“Revolut”, "We" ,"our" or “us”) offers eligible customers an opportunity (the "Promotion") to subscribe to one of our Paid subscription plans (either the Premium Plan or the Metal Plan, collectively or individually referred to as the "Paid Plan") at a discounted rate (the "Discounted Fee") for a certain period ( the "Discounted Fee Period").
The applicable Paid Plan, the Discounted Fee, and the Discounted Fee Period will be displayed in the notification regarding this promotion ( the "Promotion Notification") before the start of the Discounted Fee Period. The Promotion Notification will be sent to customers via email or in-app notification from us. Customers who receive the Promotion Notification can access this Promotion through the landing page (the "Landing Page") displayed in the Promotion Notification.
This Promotion runs for a defined period of time (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion Period will be clearly set out in the Promotion Notification.
This Promotion is subject to these Terms as well as the details specified in the Promotion Notification. Additionally, participation in this Promotion requires compliance with the following terms.
- the Personal Terms that apply to your Revolut Personal account;
- the Premium & Metal Terms and Conditions and the Fees Page relevant to your offered subscription plan, as applicable; and
- other applicable terms of conditions that apply to our services used by you.
Who is eligible for the Discounted Fee?
The Promotion will be available to selected Revolut customers who:
- have been successfully onboarded as a Revolut customer (this means you must have passed our Know Your Customer checks and have no restrictions on your account);
- have received the Promotion Notification; and
- join an eligible Paid Plan under this Promotion during the Promotion Period as defined in the Promotion Notification.
Customers who join the Paid Plan by completing the steps above during the Promotion Period are eligible to pay the monthly Discounted Fee for the Discounted Fee Period.
How do I start my Discounted Fee Period?
You can start your Discounted Fee Period by following the instructions in the Promotion Notification.
Discounted Fee
During the Discounted Fee Period we will charge you the monthly Discounted Fee. You can see your Discounted Fee at any time in the Landing Page.
After your Discounted Fee Period ends, you will remain on the chosen Paid Plan, on the non-discounted fee, unless you cancel your Paid Plan subscription.
Fees for ending your Paid Plan subscription
You have the right to cancel your subscription plan within the Free Trial Period, after which normal cancellation rules will apply.
This means that certain fees (Including the card related fees mentioned below.) or penalties specified by us may be incurred when canceling (downgrading) the Paid Plan. For details, please refer to the Premium & Metal Terms and Conditions and the Personal Fees (Metal) or Personal Fees (Premium).
Please note that in this case, the start date for calculating any applicable fees or penalties will be the day after the Discounted Free Period ends.
In order to check your subscription details please go to the ‘Profile’ -> ‘Plan’ -> ‘Billing Details’ section on your Revolut app, and to check how you can downgrade, please go ‘Profile’ -> ‘Plan’ -> ‘Change Plan’ section.
What other legal information should I know?
- To be eligible for a reward of the Promotion, you must comply with these terms and all other terms and conditions applicable to your Revolut account and Revolut services you receive.
- Revolut may, at our sole discretion, suspend, terminate or change the Promotion or change these terms and conditions in whole or in part without prior notice. Revolut will not be liable for any loss or damages incurred by you as a result of this.
- Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of early suspension or termination.
- You will lose access to the benefit of this Promotion if you close your Revolut Personal account or your account becomes suspended or restricted.
- Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control.
- If you conduct fraudulent or malicious activities in respect of the Promotion or you breach these terms or other terms and conditions applicable to your Revolut account, or if we reasonably suspect either of the above, we may, at our sole discretion, take appropriate action (including restricting or closing your account or voiding your benefit).
- These terms are originally published in Japanese and this English translation is prepared for reference purposes only. The Japanese language version of these terms shall prevail.
- These terms are governed by Japanese law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms is subject to exclusive agreed jurisdiction of the first instance of the Tokyo District Court.
