Card Transfer Promotion Terms

What is this Promotion about?

As part of the Revolut x Affiliate Influencer Promotion (the “Promotion”), Revolut is offering prospective customers in Singapore who sign up for a Revolut Personal account for the first time using a link or a code provided by an affiliated Revolut partner, such as a YouTuber, Instagrammer, TikTok creator or podcaster (each a “Partner”) the opportunity to receive:

  • a one-time S$30 cashback (the “Cashback”) on eligible transactions; and
  • a cash prize of S$1,000.00(the “Cash Prize”).

The Promotion will run for a specific period of time (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion Period and the Cashback amount will be set out on the Revolut webpage at the unique link for the Promotion (“Landing Page”).

These terms (the “Promotion Terms”) set out the rules that apply to this Promotion, and you must comply with them and the Personal Terms that apply to your Revolut Personal account at all times when participating in this Promotion. Capitalized terms used but not defined herein have the same meaning as in the Personal Terms.

What do I need to do to take part in this Promotion?

To be eligible for this Promotion, you must:

  • Live at a residential address in Singapore;
  • be at least 18 years of age; and
  • not have or have previously held a Revolut personal account with any Revolut group entity.

You will also need to complete the following steps.

  1. Click on the unique link provided by a Partner and provide your phone number. Once you have provided your phone number, you will be directed to sign up for a Revolut Personal account.
  2. Follow the steps in the SMS you receive to open a Revolut Personal account and successfully complete our Know Your Customer checks.
  3. Make one Card Transfer (as defined in our Personal Terms) of at least S$30 (or the equivalent in any other supported currency) to an overseas recipient.

You must complete steps 1 to 3 by the end of the Promotion Period in order to receive the Cashback and be eligible for the opportunity to receive the Cash Prize.

How do I get the Cashback?

You must complete steps 1 to 3 from the above in “What do I need to do to take part in the Promotion?” before you can earn the Cashback.

To earn the Cashback, you will need to make a Card Transfer to an overseas recipient of at least S$30 (or such equivalent in any supported currency) during the Promotion Period. For the avoidance of doubt, the Card Transfer must be made to a recipient card (and not an account), the recipient card cannot be a Revolut card, and the recipient cardholder cannot be yourself. Upon completion, you will earn a one-time cashback of S$30.

Revolut will credit the Cashback to your Revolut Personal account within ten business days after you have completed the steps outlined above.

How do I get my Cash Prize?

If you meet the eligibility criteria and complete all the steps outlined in “What do I need to do to take part in the Promotion?”, in order to get the Cash Prize, you must further:

  • consent to receive the Cashback via the registered email address you had provided when you signed up for a new Revolut account; and
  • be the 8th, 88th, 188th, 888th or the 1888th person to earn the Cashback.

You agree and acknowledge that once submitted, the registered email address provided cannot be amended, and Revolut will not be able to re-issue or refund any cash award(s) already transferred to the relevant Revolut Account should the email address provided be in error.

Revolut will send a confirmation email after the selection of the Winner about Cash Prize updates.

If a winner of the Cash Prize is disqualified for any reason including due to ineligibility or failing to comply with any of these Terms, another winner will be selected instead. The day after the Promotion Period ends, we will select the winners and notify them via email, and credit the Cash Prize to their Revolut Personal accounts within fourteen business days after the notification.

What other legal information should I know?

We may suspend or end the Promotion early if, in our reasonable opinion, it is being abused or may negatively affect Revolut’s goodwill or reputation. We may do this on an individual or promotion-wide basis.

We can cancel this Promotion, or change these Promotion Terms at any time without notice. If we do, we will try to give you notice in the same way we announced this Promotion.

If we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have engaged in any fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (such as for example attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception) we may in our sole discretion take any actions we see fit in the circumstances, including reversing any Cash Prize and/or Cashback. We will consider any reversal to have been done with your consent and the payment to have been authorised by you.

If your Revolut Personal account is suspended, closed or restricted before you receive a Cash Prize and/or a Cashback, you will lose your entitlement to it.

Events beyond the control of Revolut may also occur that render the awarding of the Cash Prize and/or Cashback as part of this Promotion impossible. Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control.

By participating in this Promotion, you confirm that you understand that any benefit you receive as part of this Promotion may be subject to local income tax in Singapore. It is your responsibility to pay any tax which may arise from receiving any benefit. Revolut will bear no liability for any tax obligations which may arise from receiving any benefit as part of this Promotion.

If you sign up to Revolut as part of this Promotion, Revolut will process your personal data in compliance with our Customer Privacy Notice that applies to your Personal account.

These Promotion Terms are published in English and any translation is a courtesy and an unofficial translation only - participants of the Promotion cannot derive any rights from the translated version. The English language version of these Promotion Terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in any legal proceedings. If, however, by law the local language should be used, the local language version will prevail.

To the extent permitted by law, these Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the competent court in Singapore.
