Scammers are getting smarter, and more convincing. So we’ve built a tool that helps you intercept impersonators, and put a stop to any Revolut phone scams. When the call is fake, the warning is real.

Introducing our live in-app banner that helps you confirm if a call from us is genuine. If someone on the phone says they’re from Revolut, check the app. You’ll see a neutral banner if we’re on the phone with you, and a red banner if we’re not. With this banner, you’re never in doubt.

Why is this important?

• Impersonation scams are on the rise. These are some of the most common scams attempts, and they prove a true threat to your money safety. Criminals are finding smarter ways to try and trick you to into sharing your details or sending them money.
• Fraud is evolving faster than ever. Technology, like AI and deepfake, helps fraudsters mimic voices and create highly convincing, panic-inducing scripts. You need to be able to cut through the noise, and get to the facts.
• Security shouldn't be an afterthought. So we’ve developed a real-time tool to protect you. Using our in-app banner, you can feel confident and comfortable when on the phone with us — and you can stop fake ones before they harm you.

How to use this feature to confirm we’re on the phone

If you’re on a call with someone who says they’re from Revolut, simply go to your app. We’ll be able to detect a call in real-time and give you the truth: is it from us?

Instant verification

If you’re on a genuine Revolut call, the banner will confirm it.

If you aren’t on a genuine Revolut call, the banner will display a clear, red message: “Revolut is not calling you”.

Immediate guidance and support

Hanging up is just the first step. Next, tap the banner, and you'll find 3 next steps you can follow:

1. Secure your account: if you’ve shared any information, you can secure your account by freezing a potentially compromised card, changing your password, and more.
2. Report fraud: if the scammer convinced you to make a transaction, access quick-fire steps for reporting the payment so we can try to help you recover any funds.
3. Help prevent future scams: report the number that called you to help us protect other customers.

This feature turns a moment of uncertainty into a moment of clarity and control.
